The Multi-Guide

The Multi-Guide is… one guide who goes out of his way to meet the needs of all those who choose Montalbano for its wine, its oil and its hospitality.

Tourists will find attached to the Multi-Guide a road map functional to the paths described. The itineraries on the map correspond to a relative poster on the territory.
The combination of the Guide, the map and the signs will allow visitors to Montalbano to reach the most interesting destinations through paths that tell the hills, the vineyards, the centuries-old olive trees, the small villages and large towns, the castles, the villas and an environment with a unique charm.

Always attached to the Multiguida is the Card , which allows you to obtain discounts thanks to the agreements stipulated by the Strada dell’Olio e del Vino del Montalbano – Le Colline di Leonardo.
The Card can be activated or delivered directly to one of the associated companies. With the Card della Multiguida, Montalbano will be closer to its visitors, through the products and proposals of the territory. Finally, the Internet portal www.stradadileonardo.it will allow you to plan your trip even from afar, discovering places and initiatives, events and moments of flavors, culture and values. To get to know a unique territory in Italy and fall in love with its green, its blue and the open smile of those who live there.

The Multiguida is enriched by detailed floor plans and easy to consult that will allow tourists to plan their visit to Montalbano, as well as a quick and practical check of the itineraries at any time of the holiday. Every route is identified on the map from a color I specify that it will facilitate its identification, and that it will allow the connection between the multiple historical, artistic and environmental contents contained in the Multi-Guide. The first four itineraries are strongly characterized by the names of the main cities on which they wind and by the territorial portions in which they are included. These are real geographical routes, which lead to the discovery of the riches of each of the territories indicated. The best historical, cultural, economic and productive realities are described for each one, with precise reference to the activities, companies, bodies, institutions and organizations that are part of the Association and which constitute the fundamental plot of the path. The other five paths are unified by titles which, together, make up a single thought: “ From the Etruscans to the Middle Ages “,” Renaissance and Baroque “,” Between taste and tradition “,” Museums “,” Discovering nature “. These “roads” therefore follow a more general imprint, being mainly articulated on aspects more closely linked to local customs and history, giving an overview of the territory of Montalbano, while each specifying a specific theme.
Here the “Roads” proposed in the Multi-Guide are presented. In detail, we see the itineraries described in full in the volume and recommended to the visiting tourist. The first, territorial, take on a geographical value and allow a detailed view, step by step, of the beauties of Montalbano. The second courses, thematic, leave room for the dive into history, the curiosity of traditions and the relaxation of good food and the naturalistic environment. In this case, it is a structured “thematic” holiday, but in any case precise in the description of the places and what they offer.

THE SIGNAGE

On the signs that make up the road signs there will be stamps of different colors depending on the routes that the tourist will want to follow.
For example: Leonardo’s lands ”will be recognizable by the blue sticker; “The ridge of Montalbano” with the red dot , and so on.
The stamps will also bear the image of the Association logo shown in negative, on the same color of the stamp.
If one or more locations are included in more than one route, several different colored stamps will be found on the signs.
The Multi-Guide therefore refers to precise road signs that will identify each itinerary or route that the tourist wishes to undertake.
